Turn Delaware Red
Welcome to Red Hen Blog.
If you have not seen them yet, here are the county by county results for the 2004 presidential race:
USA TODAY county by county map electorial map
Republicans have certainly painted the country red, but Delaware remained as Blue as it's Hens:
Presidential Results - By County DELAWARE
County / Total Precincts / Bush / Kerry / Nader
New Castle / 305 / 92,973 / 145,935 / 1,335
Kent / 66 / 31,555 / 23,854 / 362
Sussex / 64 / 47,003 / 30,098 / 454
Bush won Kent and Sussex Counties, and did better overall in Delaware this time than in 2000 (vs. Gore): a gain of +2.6 points, but still not a win

All I'll say here is not too strong for Republicans.
Conclusion - Delaware is a Democratic state right now.
I was born in Delaware, and I believe that this state is filled with good people. It is hard for me to believe that Delaware is filled with Socialists and far-out Left Wing disciples. And believe me, that is who the Democratic party represents in 2004. It's not my Grandfather's Democratic Party; it is now the party of Karl Marx.
Delaware is ripe for change.
It is small enough for quick progress but "big" enough to leave it's mark on the country.
There is a demographic shift to the lower more conservative counties where the support of a conservative community can build Republican confidence and momentum.
President Bush's 2nd term agenda for reform of social security, employee health care, and the federal tax code could help release the death grip that The Democratic Party has had on the union vote (I have always found it bizarre that good union family men and women vote with Marxist-Leninists, hippies, drug addicts, and anti-American socialists).
There are many growing movements against left-wing indoctrination and demagoguing in our schools, both at the primary, secondary, and collegiate levels. Anti-American socialists no longer have free reign to teach our children to hate their own country. The 1960's mantra of "The Bible is evil, read The Communist Manifesto instead" is no longer accepted. And where the problems of teacher promoted left-wing indoctrination can not be solved, Delawareans are instead choosing to send their children to alternate schools where moral knowledge is again taught along side intellectual knowledge.
Black Delawareans 20% and other minority Delawareans are starting to reject the welfare state that has been pushed on them over the last 40 years by Liberal Elite, and could tip the scales in favor of the Republicans.
There is a national movement for Black Americans to rally around the now ailing institution of the black family. This institution was historically so strong that it persevered through 500 years of slavery, oppression, segregation, and racism - only to succumb to the urban socialism of the 1960's.
Black Americans are also starting to reject the Democratic party's promotion of abortion rights and planned parenthood - promotion that has translated into about 15,000,000 (that's million) aborted Black American pregnancies since Roe vs. Wade. In a Black American population (about 13.5% of the U.S. pop ) of only about 44,000,000, this means that 1 out of every 4 black Americans that should be here today has been aborted.
Finally, there is a new generation coming of age that is up to the task laid before us in these important times. It is my generation - Generation X - that is choosing to reject the moral and social destruction of the Baby Boomer Generation. There is a new population of 20 and 30 somethings in Delaware and across the land that desires not to break down the traditions and institutions of our great country, but to pick up where our grandparents - The Greatest Generation - left off. It is a feeling of optimism, responsibility, and destiny. It is a powerful spirit and well rooted in our hearts and minds, for it found it's way to us in spite of, and instead of, our unfortunate liberal academic indoctrination. We are Young Conservatives that have traveled long and rocky roads to get where we are today.
So, join me, read the blog, and let's turn Delaware red!
